Removing pages from a PDF
Scanned documents often include blank backs of pages, duplicate scans or cover sheets, and long reports contain sections not every reader needs. Deleting pages makes a document shorter, smaller and more focused before you share it.
Selecting pages visually
After upload, every page is shown as a thumbnail. Click the pages you want to remove — they are marked so you can review the selection before deleting. You must keep at least one page, since a PDF cannot be empty.
Seeing thumbnails avoids the most common mistake with page ranges: removing the wrong page because the printed page numbers do not match the PDF's page positions.
What happens to the rest of the document
Remaining pages are kept exactly as they were, without re-compression, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. Removing image-heavy pages usually reduces the file size noticeably.
Undoing a deletion
The original file on your device is not changed. If you remove the wrong page, simply upload the original again. For removing sensitive information from inside a page rather than whole pages, a redaction tool is the right choice.
Tips
- Delete blank scan pages before compressing or merging.
- Use Split PDF to keep a selection of pages instead of deleting most of a document.
- Check the page count of the downloaded file before sending it.
